50-50 Solid Rock Initiative
Summit Christian College is building its capacity to serve as a vital resource for growing congregations throughout the Rocky Mountain and High Plains region of the great west. From her formation the college has been charged with the commission to provide affordable, quality education and ministry preparation for all who seek to become dedicated preachers, missionaries, teachers and christian leaders who are well equipped to serve the Church in our part of the country or wherever God would call them.
To move decisively forward, SCC is launching the “50/50 Solid Rock Initiative.”
This initiative relies heavily upon Summit’s rock solid support foundation, the Body of Christ, to help her significantly increase its base in an “each one, find one” approach to raising up 150 new supporters. The challenge is to help the college find one hundred committed Christians and congregations who are willing to begin or increase their support by fifty dollars per month and find fifty additional congregations and individuals who would be willing to commit to one hundred dollars per month.
Our goal is to raise up enough new support to fully offset the college’s regular operational expenses not covered by the college’s tuition rates. This is imperative to the sustainability of Summit’s commitment to affordable, high quality Christian ministry degrees. This prudent and highly achievable initiative recognizes the value of commonly maintainable levels of support that can be shared across large numbers of committed Christians who value educated leadership. The initiative addresses the need to meet the college’s regularly occurring expenses with regularly occurring support. Consequently this will free up the use of special gifts, grants and large contributions to be applied directly toward strengthening the college’s capacity to enhance its service to the region and around the world.
